Baker Honors Councilman Heine's Rescuers

Earlier this month, former mayor of Baker and LMA Past President, Councilman Pete Heine, was involved in a house fire and credits two people for saving his life.

At the most recent Baker Council meeting, Councilman Heine presented Baker’s Lifesaver Award to Terrance “TJ” Johnson (Waste Management truck operator) and Terrica Williams (neighbor). He also publicly thanked current Baker Mayor Darrell Waites, the Baker Fire Department first responders, and his family and friends for helping him through this difficult time.

LaMATS and the entire LMA family are grateful for the heroism of Mr. Johnson and Ms. Williams and we wish Councilman Heine the best as he begins to replace what was lost in the fire.
