CONGRATS!
Thanks and special recognition to LaMATS partners
HAIL & FAREWELL
LaMATS welcomes new LMCA leadership: President Phyllis McGraw, MMC; Vice President Doug Schmidt, LCMC; Secretary/Treasurer Dolores Quebedeaux, LMMC; and Public Relations Officer Lora Johnson, CMC, LMMC.
As our partner the Louisiana Municipal Clerks Association (LMCA) makes another transition of leadership, LaMATS would like to thank LMCA past President Ann-Marie Eaves, LMMC, for steering the LMCA so capably in 2018.
Newly-elected President Phyllis McGraw, MMC, praised her predecessor's tenure: "Ann-Marie served with dignity and grace and represented our State very well. [She] is an inspiration to others to become active and step out of their comfort zone for the good of the organization. Ann-Marie found ways to cut spending and improve our bottom line. It was an honor to serve with her."
President McGraw cited a healthy recruitment of 27 new LMCA members and noted that these and other members will benefit from LaMATS services in the coming year.
As one goal for her administration, McGraw says she would like to see greater educational outreach to small municipalities that can’t afford to send their clerks LMCA trainings. "LaMATS helps greatly with the Mayor Eugene Smith Scholarships, but I would like to find a way to make the technical training we receive accessible to all."
...Thank you, President McGraw: WE'RE ON IT!
