Administered by The Louisiana Clean Energy Fund (lacleanenergy.org/), the federal “Solar for Y’all” program has granted Louisiana $156 million to help 15,000 households, especially low-income families, lower energy bills by at least 20% with solar power. LaMATS, along with our partners at the Center for Planning Excellence (CPEX.org), encourages all municipal leaders to join in the planning process to ensure that every Louisiana community’s voice is heard.

“Your input will help shape how solar energy is deployed in Louisiana,” said CPEX Research and Policy Manager, Spring A. Gaines. “This is a great opportunity to lower energy costs, make homes stronger, and bring clean, reliable power to more families—all at no upfront cost.”

To learn more about this program and how to participate, please contact Ms. Gaines at sgaines@cpex.org. Read the LCEF “Solar for Y'all” program's Request for Partners letter here.
