Honoring Our Veterans

On Veterans Day, November 11, all of us at LaMATS and the Louisiana Municipal Association will pause to recognize and thank the men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. We are grateful for the sacrifices they and their families have made, and for the commitment to service that continues long after military uniforms are put away.

Some 680,000 veterans carry that same dedication into their communities across our nation, serving in municipal government and bringing valuable leadership, experience, and a deep sense of responsibility to the people they represent. To all who have worn the uniform, we offer our sincere thanks. Your service matters, your contributions are valued, and your sacrifices are never forgotten.
