Jena Funds Major Metering Project with GovCap

When it comes to lease-purchase financing, LaMATS turns to its trusted partner, Government Capital Corporation (GovCap), who have successfully funded thousands of municipal projects in Louisiana and across the South since its founding in 1992. 

LaMATS Executive Director Cliff Palmer stated, “LaMATS has complete confidence in GovCap as our municipal lease-purchase finance partner.”

Recently, the Town of Jena was in dire need of a new water and gas meter system with a price tag of $1.13 million. GovCap made it happen through an affordable standard lease-purchase financing package, and Jena was thrilled to complete the project with provider Aqua-Metric Sales Company.

“It has been a pleasure to work with LaMATS and Government Capital on our water and gas meter upgrade project," said Jena Mayor LaDawn Edwards. "This long-needed upgrade would not have been possible without their help."

LaMATS was also instrumental in assisting Jena, in part, through a piggyback purchase of meters from a previous municipal project in South Louisiana handled by LaMATS.
