LPS Municipal Surplus Property Program was recently called on to sell a town’s utility tractor it could no longer use. The tractor ran but was over 30 years old, was unreliable, and maintenance costs were high. The cab was missing a door and its AC no longer worked, making prolonged summer use inconvenient. LPS visited the town, photographed the tractor, and placed it for sale online through its GovDeal auction portal. 57 bids later, and the tractor was sold to a happy buyer from Alabama for $8,800.00. A happy town was glad to have it hauled away.
