LaMATS Board Meets, Approves New LACPC Chair

On Wednesday, the LaMATS Board of Directors, staff, and consultants met for the organization's regular quarterly meeting, which coincided this year with LMA's 85th Annual Convention in Lafayette.

In addition to the Board's typical business agenda, including reports from Executive Director Cliff Palmer and various program consultants, the Board voted unanimously to approve the nomination of Suzanne Williams, MA, Grant Writer & Manager of Community Development for the Town of Many, as the first Chairperson of the Louisiana Joint Municipal Cooperative Purchasing Commission (LACPC).

The LACPC is a LaMATS-administered, participant-directed commission of Louisiana municipalities and local political subdivisions, dedicated to the purchasing of materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with the Local Services Law (La. R.S. 33:1322 et seq.,). Click here for more information.
