The LaMATS Board of Directors extends their sincere appreciation to outgoing Louisiana Municipal Clerks Association (LMCA) president, Veronica Brown, LCMC, for her dedicated service to the Association and LaMATS Board.

Meshaun Arcenaux, LMMC, (pictured) of Napoleonville, is being inducted as the new LMCA President at its 65th Annual Spring Conference in New Orleans this week. In addition to her responsibilities leading the association, Arcenaux will sit as a Director on the LaMATS Board during her tenure as president.
The Clerk’s Association provides its membership with educational opportunities through their conferences and workshops, instilling professionalism and integrity in their work, while also providing points toward their certifications as Municipal Clerks and Master Municipal clerks. LaMATS is proud of its long-standing partnership with LMCA that includes financial sponsorship throughout the year, and the Mayor Eugene Smith Memorial scholarships for clerks from towns and villages who attend the annual Clerks Institute in the fall.
LaMATS is looking forward to supporting Meshaun as she brings her valuable talents and insights into this esteemed organization and begins this journey.
"We are grateful to have such strong leadership over the years from LMCA,” said LaMATS President and Grosse Tete Mayor Michael Chauffe.
“Veronica represented the LMCA on our board in a very meaningful way, and there is no doubt that Meshaun will continue the same proud tradition," offered LaMATS Executive Director Cliff Palmer.
